1936-2008

 February 11,2008, We lost a good friend and rotarian. Royce was a large part of our club and he will definitely be missed.

Karl Davis

1948-2008

The memorial service for Karl will be this Friday, January 18th at 10:30am at Thalian Hall, 310 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. There will be a reception following the service.
The family requests that those wishing to make contributions, please make them to the following organizations:
The 2008 Red Cross Gala, Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Carolina Canines (companion dogs).

Tom Avery--the GREAT MAN WITH THE GREAT SMILE

We lost our dear smiling Tom Avery today, Tom passed away on September 6, at 1 pm.  Family visitation was at Andrews Mortuary at 7:00PM on Friday September 8,2006. The funeral was at 11:00 AM Saturday September 9,2006 , also at Andrews Mortuary.

Gene Edwards

Badge #1

Gene Edwards passed away on January 16, 2006. Gene had been a member of the Wilmington Rotary Club for 68 years. He was inducted on July 21, 1939. with a classification of Flowers-Retailing. Gene served as Rotary District 773 Governor and was the oldest living district governor and the one with the longest year of Rotary service. Gene was a Paul Harris Fellow. He prided himself all during his life on Rotary's motto "Service above Self" Gene was very active in the community and his church, St Paul's Lutheran Church. Gene is survived by his wife Elizabeth, children  Betsy and Bill, their spouses, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. We will miss him.
